Rainbeau Ridge's Local Eating Challenge will kick-off at the Fall Fest on October 7th and will continue through November 4th. The culminating event will be a pot-luck social where all Challenge participants will be able to share their experiences, recipes, tastings and more. Prizes for best blogs and ideas will be presented on the 4th as well. Register for the Challenge through the web-site -- click here for more information.

Day 1 of the LEC. Called Hudson Milk--I can pretty much live off of what they offer and a run to Rainbeau. Online research of our upstate sources as well. Tomorrow's farmer's market at JJHS should round out nicely for the week. We still have a cupboard full of local and not so local food. I am eager, already, to translate this into February's offerings.

How will I ever manage without my coffee from NOKA JOe's -- is that considered 'local'?!?!?!
