When it rains it pours…
There’s a reason these sayings hold up over time—they’re true!!! And so it’s pouring right now at the farm…
We had the (unexpected) delivery of Kobi’s ram lamb yesterday; two weanlings (horses) are being trucked from Canada and are being dropped in Pennsylvania for my pick up on Friday; two weeks from now 40+ chicks should be arriving at the Bedford Hills Post Office and right on their heels, we begin our 2007 kidding season; not to mention that Destiny, our Kerry cow, is due to calve a few weeks after that.
And that’s before we even look at the calendared events for Sprouts, Roots, Buds, Brownie Troops, a visit from the Herb Society and our new “healthy eating” cooking class series! Oh and did I mention the two open houses for cheese customers and media? Or the beginning of cheese making?
That’s just March!!!
A whirlwind, for sure—but it’s what we love about Rainbeau Ridge—always a flurry of activity—new faces and voices and importantly bringing people together –
Be sure to keep checking the website for updates countdowns and pictures of all of these wonderful events. www.rainbeauridge.com

It is always an amazing day when there is a birth at the farm. Congratulations on the new Cotswold. He looks like a perfect boy to carry on good genetics. How lucky he is to be at Rainbeau Ridge! The children in the Sprouts Program will learn alot from seeing him with his mom. The little chicks, the new calf, the saved Premerim foals and all the good LIFE going on at Rainbeau Ridge will carry on the message of Accessible Agriculture! (And all of this only 40 miles from New York City!)
Looking forward to photos of the next babies!
